James Taylor
James completed his bachelor of christian counselling with a focus in marriage and family therapy in 2020 at Canada Christian College. He then went on to complete his master of arts in counselling psychology in 2023 from Yorkville University.
James has a passion for meaning centered and cognitive-behavioural approaches to counselling with adolescents and adults, as well as working with couples and families.
James has experience in working with clients experiencing a range of difficulties including: anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, and trauma (PTSD).

Therapy is a collaborative process where we slow down, explore your inner world, and create space for emotions, relationships, self-identity, or past experiences that deserve to be seen, understood, and validated.
I deeply value authenticity, curiosity, and diversity, and my passion lies in connecting with people from all walks of life. Many of my clients are thoughtful individuals navigating self-doubt, perfectionism, cultural transitions, or a search for deeper meaning. I often work with international students and immigrants adapting to new cultures, individuals managing life transitions, and anyone seeking clarity or personal growth. It’s an honour to walk alongside my clients as they explore and rewrite their life stories.
While our past experiences, cultures, and environments shape us, it’s ultimately up to us to decide who we want to become and what life we want to live. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can unpack your challenges, embrace your strengths, and work toward the life you envision. My approach is tailored to your needs, drawing on evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, we’ll develop strategies, gain insights, and foster meaningful change.
